ProUV is a simple to use, yet powerful plug-in for automatic UV unwrapping optimized for sculpting.

Such advanced UV unwrapping of your models brings many important benefits when compared to built-in ZBrush AUV and GUV unwrappers:

+ enhanced detail distribution (ProUV is 3D surface area based, so not all details go to small higher poly mesh parts, ie. eyes, ears of the head)
+ significant general improvements in quality in _all_ texture related workflows (in practice ProUV based textures behave like AUV/GUV of 4-16 times the size!)
+ texture distortions and texture seams are minimized
+ configurable edge padding between UV charts for real-time usage like normal mapping, color texture baking, etc.

UI features

The user interface resides in the Tools panel and features the following:

Max Stretch
User defined limit of generated texture stretch. Parameter range is from 0 to 1, with 0 meaning no stretch is allowed and 1 disables optimizing for stretch.

Max Charts
User defined limit of generated number of UV charts. Parameter value of 0 means there is no limit.

Texture Edge Padding
Sets the distance in pixels between UV charts. This is useful for mip-mapping and real-time texture usage.

Texture Width (related to texture edge padding)
Should be set to the width of the destination texture.

Texture Height (related to texture edge padding)
Should be set to the height of the destination texture.

Unwrap
Simply select the tool and press this button to start the unwrapping process.
